The Title

As well as telling the audience what the film is called, adding the title can give information about the genre of film through the font and way it is introduced. A title is one of the most important components of a title sequence as it allows us to know what we are watching as well as other bits of information we may find useful whilst watching the film.

Main Characters
As well as introducing the star of the film, a good title sequence may also introduce main characters as well as who acts them. This can be useful to tell the audience who the main character is before they start watching the film. In addition, the mention of a famous starring name may attract the attention of certain audience members who may be fans of the actor/actress and result in them feeling more excited to watch the film.

Intriguing the audience
A good title sequence will definitely intrigue the audience and keep them waiting in anticipation for the film to start. This can be done through any ways such as using interesting visuals that may relate to the story of the film as well as dramatic or other effective music or sound effects that draw the audience in. Considering that the title sequence is the first thing the audience will see before the film starts, it is important that the tit;e sequence isn't dull or boring as this may deter the audience from wanting to proceed with watching the film.
