Research: Blog Post 6: Art of the Title.

Dare Devil.
In the title sequence of Dare Devil there are religious connotations/imagery which links to the main character who is based on the devil. The music is instrumental and atmospheric to create a sinister and dark mood. The entirety of the title sequence was red this signifies blood which adds to the violent imagery created. There are also single images showing certain components of the show which were dripping in the red blood, this gives the audience an insight of whats to come.The imagery was made on the computer (CGI), this creates a smooth finish the overall title sequence. There many shots from a wide range of angles which gives variety to the sequence.

American Horror Story.
In the title sequence of American Horror Story there is dramatic and sinister music, this creates a dark atmosphere and creates fear within the audience. There are old fashioned photographs which gives insight into when the show was set as well as whats to come. The sequence is fast paced which keeps the audience intrigued and in anticipation, also the quick shots almost simulate jump scares. The typography in the sequence is shown as a detailed, morbid font which sets the tone of the show. There is also a variety of angles and camera shots used, including panning across certain objects and also close ups on the dolls to add a sense of drama and intensity.

Psycho.
In the title sequence of Psycho there are simplistic line transitions between each name. The entirety of the title sequence is in black and white which foreshadows the old fashioned nature of the film. It was fast paced which keeps the audience intrigued and alert. There is an atmospheric instrumental soundtrack which emphasises on the killer instincts of the main character. At the end of the title sequence there is an overview of the city which shows the audience the location and setting of the film.
