Task 3-Genre Preferences.

Genre number 1: Romance.

Conventions you would see in the genre:
-a man and women, falling in love during the film.
- lighting could be dim, setting a romantic atmosphere 
- both main characters being near each other
-romantic location e.g- boat, New York, park ect.
-roses to symbolise their love towards the character

Films that are the genre of romance:
-Titanic
-The Notebook
-Dirty Dancing
-Breakfast at tiffanys

 Genre number 2: Sci-Fi comedy

Conventions you would see in the genre:
-Scientist who could look a bit crazy to set the genre of the film
-machines that are futuristic
-futuristic cars
-could be set in space
-could be set in the future in earth.


 Films that are set in the genre:
-Back to the future
-Men in black
 -Ghost Busters

Genre number 3: Horror.

Conventions you would see in the genre:
-set in the dark
-creepy old house
- spirits/demos -
scary atmosphere
-blood
-priest being attacked
-church

Films that are set in the genre:
-The exorcist
-Halloween
-The Omen
-The conjuring
 -Texas Chainsaw Massacre
