Conclustion.
In my opinion, we can see that 16 year old girls would rather watch a romantic film that involves drama rather than action as it would "entertain" them more. On the other hand 17 year old boys are more attracted to watching horror films as they are more intrigued because they dont know what could happen next during the film as they would be drawn to the characters. Also, we can see that mature women at the age of 45 or more would rather watch a type of documentary todo with history as maybe the viewer would prefer learning about the subject such as history than watching a normal hollywood film. Another thing that i have noticed is that, more younger people watch Hollywood films rather than British or Bollywood originated films, this could show us that Hollywood create the most films that are targeted to their target audience and also tells us that they release and make most know/famous films there rather than in the Uk or India. By those results we can tell that most teenagers and adults earn their money by having a job, this could the increase the amount of movies they buy as it is their own money rather than their parents.

Research: Blog post 12: Target Audience
A target audience is a particular group of people a certain film or production is aimed at. Our group created a survey on survey monkey to try and find what our target audience might be and what profiles of people tend to enjoy certain types of film. Our survey currently has 55 answers from which I will draw a conclusion about target audience.
Here are some of the responses we received
Here are some of the responses we received
A lot of the responses we received were from the age group of 16-25. This age group seemed to enjoy other horror, action, or romance, majority of the people who preferred romance were female. People who exceeded this age group seemed to enjoy either historical films, documentaries, and occasionally romance or action. The most popular location people preferred was the city, and people preferred Hollywood films more compared to films originating from other countries. Considering we are going to be creating the title sequence to a horror film, our target audience would be people from the ages of 16-25 that either source their income from parents or a job. interests may include watching TV, going out, browsing the web, film and art.

Research: Blog Post 8 Title Sequence Analysis : Donnie Darko
The tone created in the sequence starts off quite spiritual and eerie but is also serious and intense. The overall atmosphere created is tense, which is to build up tension for a dramatic narrative timeline. The music starts off quite peaceful as there are birds chirping and it is just instrumental with some humming over the top, then the music changes into a rock/indie song as the camera follows the boy on his bike. The sound effects used add to the tone and atmosphere of the opening, there is the sound of heavy wind and thunder which could connote danger. there is also he sound of a cricket or some sort of insect alongside the sounds of birds chirping, which draws the viewers attention in and also signifies that the location is in the woods. The opening shot is a panning shot of an early morning sunrise through some trees. This pans to the left revealing a road with a boy lying in the middle of it, this creates confusion and concern within the viewer as you want to know why the boy was there in the first place and is unmoved/unharmed. There are many different shots used, one of which is an over the shoulder shot of the main character looking out to the sunrise and then turns around and quietly giggles. After the title comes onto the screen the camera follows the boy through a neighbourhood, which introduces where the film is set.

Some of the mise-en-scene in the opening includes a bike which at the start is on the side of the road, cars, a trampoline, a book, a leaf-blower.
The text used is in a white colour and the font used looks some-what mythical, this helps introduce the supernatural genre.

Research: Blog Post 23: Individual Creative Ideas
In my opinion i think a horror genre would be easier to work with as it draws a lot of attention from the audiences. For a horror opening title sequence i think it would be best if you showed information about the main characters past, for example for the title sequence of Texas Chainsaw Mascre it shows the audience the past of the main characters since he was an infant. This would also make the audience gain information about the character and give them a hint of what the movie could be about. Music is important in horror as it sets the mood of the film, and could also make the viewer feel tense and scared. I think for our teams title sequence it should create tension towards the viewers, and also give them many ideas of the film. The sequence would also include credits such as the Directors name and main actors.
I also think if we did an action/thriller it would make the audience intrigued as the genre is one of the most watched along with horror and romance. In this genre i was thinking that we could have a school shooting, while the camera focuses on the students who have been mudered with a close up of them, also a panning shot of the class room could be usefull so that the audience could see how many students the killer has killed. In the nexts shot it could go into the future and show a mid shot of the muderer talking to the police investigator about the reason why he did this. I think this would be interesing as the audience would be intrigued towards the reasons of the killer and the plot of the film.
